Originally master planned by Peter Calthorpe, San Elijo Hills town center represents a “Calthorpe Couplet” urban planning strategy. A major highway is split into one way couplets, which are then slowed down and urbanized for a walk-able town center. Kenny participated on a Charrette with TPUDC to design one of the remaining town center parcels. In conjunction with the planning explorations, Kenny explored architectural character and building types appropriate for the proposed town center parcel development.
